Rest rifle on sandbags and look down the bore at a big ass piece of cardboard.
Look through the scope and adjust it as necessary.
Look back down the bore to see that it didn't move.
Shoot the rifle and fine tune.
if you have a solid gun vise, you can bore site and then take your first shot. without moving the gun, adjust the crosshairs to line up with the bullet hole. voila, dead on.
