... behold, the 400 yard Offensive handgun.

"...The word "Combat" in the "Combat NCO" name is a statement of origin and identified it from common 1911 A1's. The acronym "NCO" in the name was used because he was the man who used it. The man and the pistol are both called Combat NCO's. Born in Combat and tested there by Marines, Delta and CIA since 1987 the Combat NCO remains the only "Offensive use" 400 yard accurate military pistol designed for that duty in the world today..."

I'd say you'd still have to be pretty damn lucky to pull off a kill shot at 400 yards with a sight radius that short.

.45 ACP is going to have some drop over 400 yards.

With a 100 yard zero:
1000 fps on 185 grains ~ -309.65
850 fps on 230 grains ~ -371.12

Aim 3 stories high and pray there isn't any wind...

I used to ring the gongs at the shooting range I frequensted out of Delano, California with my delta Match 10. I'd lob the bullet out there are 300, and watch it hit.... Nope, not along-distance weapon.
