I've got a like new Remmy 700 SPS Tactical in .308. Fired a total of 7 times to sight in.

Replaced the factory Hogue stock with an HS precision 700 5R Takeoff and a Limbsaver recoil pad installed.

Leopold bases and rings included, NO scope included.

Like new condition.

$675 OBO or trade. Will trade for a nice AR-10 upper, LAR-8 upper, or AR-10 lower with accessories (mags, etc.).

Thanks.

It's just the model name that Remington gave it.

SPS=Special Purpose Synthetic. The rifle came from the factory with a Hogue stock. While it was nice, it wasn't truly a free float barrel. I replaced the stock with the HS it's currently wearing.

The "Tactical" I assume is the bull barrel. Probably a bit of a marketing ploy on Remington's behalf, but it's marked on the barrel as such, and advertised as such. With the short barrel, I supposed that the maneuverability aspect could be referred to as "tactical". Who knows.

I guess these days, anything that's black and looks cool could be dubbed "tactical".

Thanks for the interest.
