The gun issue was brought up as a potential deal-breaker for his campaign.

What a song and dance that little bastard is playing.

He fully understands the 2nd amendment and supports the right of citizens to keep and bear arms...

BUT

He thinks that in 'densely populated' areas like NYC, they should have strict laws regarding who can have them. Seems like he advocates states having authority to regulate the use and possession of firearms, even in blatant disregard for the 2nd.

His gun laws helped reduce homicides in NY by 75-80%. I highly doubt that. Maybe if the population increased 75-80%.

He did a nice dance around the AWB. He thinks it was the right thing to do at the time. He skirted the issue (at least to me) of imposing another one.

This election cycle is going to suck. Every one of these turds is a socialist.

I agree with him, and I think that this should be the rule in rural areas as well.

For example, I thik a strict law regarding who should have them might read like this:

All males between the ages of 18 and 45 must provide themselves with one assault rifle or one light machine gun and two pistols, each of the type in common use at the time, and one thousand rounds of ammunition for each weapon, or be subject to a one thousand dollar fine for each month such individual fails to properly so equip himself as provided for in this statute. This statute shall not apply to persons incarcerated.

You need to add something to that. "If married, the males spouse shall not say a single word about the expense, except for "OK Honey"."

Vote Ron Paul! :righton:
+1

I think all the "mainstream" candidates are by and large RINOS. Gouliani would be a D down here, plain and simple. It's all relative.

Rudolph Giuliani has a problem with guns. . . . As part of his campaign to make the streets safe, Giuliani’s administration sued 30 American arms manufacturers, and his police commissioner proposed a nationwide system of registration under which citizens would be required to demonstrate good moral character and a reason for owning a gun.

Rudy Bumpo could kill a buck, eat its liver, and have his face painted with the animal’s blood, and there would probably still be a lot of people who wouldn’t buy it.

I've heard him say that gun rights is not a federal issue but an issue for the states.

Several members of this group might have a serious problem meeting that particular requirement...

I'd be denied. I question authority.
