IIRC, the 228 mags will also work in the 229 9mm.

They will work, as well as 9mm 226 mags, though they will stick out a bit.

Have you looked at CDNN page 54 of their current catalog? 29.99 for 13 rounders..not sure what the prices are elsewhere.

Thats a good price if they are Sig brand. Personally I stay away from the cheap-o's...I've had too many feed/fit problems.
