Blue tape is masking the serial number... surface condition underneath is typical of the remainder of the rifle.

I should mention, there is some slight marring of the finish to the right of the hammer... I'll post that pic as soon as I can edit the hi-res image to fit the limitation of the free hosting services. Ultra hi-res pics available for inquiring minds (3072x2304).

I really like these guns. I grew up hunting with a 30-30 just like this and killed my first (and only) buck with it.

The lever action is really nice on these. Whoever gets this won't be disappointed.
