So, cops can shoot their weapons for any reason or no reason? Why else would a police officer fire their weapon other than in defense of persons or property?
Shooting Ranges So Cartersville doesn't want anybody shooting on their own property, even if it's rural. What about opening a shooting range, as a for-profit business? Is there an exception in their ordinance for that? Maybe none is needed, as it's just assumed that if the City gives you a business license to operate a gun shop/ shooting range, they're waiving that part of the City Code that says "no shooting." After all, the State law says that nobody shall fire a gun within 50 yards of a public road, yet we have many shooting ranges that are that close. And it's still legal to shoot carjackers as they approach you on the street.
