Seems the Sheriff does not allow anyone to carry a gun but his men and their response is to be "tactical".
Very bad. I bet DeKalb county would just love to have this guy, he would fit right in with their leftist ideals.

A very good discussion of the Madison 5, the Constitutional issues re providing identification and/or permits, rel-life issues.

    John was quite insightful.

This guy shares the same sentiment as Rob Pincus did in the interview.
Remember open is the only way to carry in Wisconsin.

    Link to 911 call

The 911 operator repeatedly asks the lady who called what the armed citizens were doing, if they were threatening in any way - the caller said "no there's no problem, they're just sitting there and seem to be real calm". The 911 operator even goes on to say that it's perfectly legal in Wisconsin to be armed in public, especially openly, which these men were.

Me thinks this will not yield a favorable outcome for the city of Madison, nor the officers involved.
