As long as a majority is needed to win. Hils at 47.85% now, Trump at 47.23%, Johnson at 3.27%, Stein at 0.99%, and other at 0.64%.
Apologies to the Libertarians for these generalities, but I'd have to think that most of those voting for Johnson, would vote for Trump (assuming they would vote) in a national run-off if the Libertarian candidate has already lost.
Not suggesting the Electoral College be abolished, just pointing out to the Dems that there's a good chance the ball wouldn't bounce their way even if we did let them change the rules after the fact. Of course, there will ever be a shortage of arrogance on the Left.
I'm still shaking my head at the petition to tell the Electoral College to "do the right thing." Excuse me, 125+ million people already signed petitions; so sorry you don't like how that came out.
