Re-upped, after some 15 years. USMCRet, your opinions here, and those of some close friends, made me reconsider.

None of the moneys raised by FRNA activities are used for legislative endeavors. They are used mainly for education, range development, safety programs and youth and women’s shooting programs.
It is important to remember that the NRA was NOT founded to do politics, it was to encourage markmanship and safe firearm handling..the NRA-ILA stuff is only PART of what they do. Maybe I do not always agree with the actions of ILA but if it was not for them we would not still have guns..much less this forum.
So yea they fall short some times on the politics stuff..but they (the NRA over-all) help keep a network of instructers and standards that would not otherwise be there.
