In the nonpartisan election for the Georgia Court of Appeals, whom should one pick?
Antoinette Davis
Stan Gunter
Adrienne Hunter-Strothers
Chris McFadden
David Schaeffer
Does the candidate's experience with guns matter to you? At a Federalist Society lunch yesterday, a troublemaker asked the candidates which ones were members of the Federalist Society and which ones habitually or even regularly carried a gun.
Only Chris McFadden and Stan Gunter responded that they are members of the Federalist Society.
Stan Gunter stated that he also carried a gun, using a hip grip.
Adrienne Hunter-Strothers stated that her dad is a hunter.
Antionette Davis told an entertaining story about her only experience with a gun, which included pushing the muzzle into the mud, and, when firing, watching the barrel scroll open.
David Schaefer denied carrying a gun, told a story about a client bringing a gun to a mediation, and gave his opinion on how inappropriate it was (the client was told to remove it).
Chris McFadden said he does not trust himself with a gun (something about hand-eye coordination and lack of training).
So there it is if this sort of thing matters to you when you go to the polls to vote for the person that will be occupying a seat on the Court of Appeals and hearing appeals in cases that may involve firearms.
