If I say, "I saw a movie last night starring Fox Face", does anyone know who I'm talking about?

I always assumed this was a 60s-70s nickname for the actor, but find myself wondering if that's just what my dad called him, thus that's what I call him. I've now passed the expression on to my wife...

That's the first thing I saw on google. I was wondering who would post it!

But there's a less literal answer...

You may have found a Goggle proof question.

I only found one page w/the reference. But only found it by googling the actor's name & the words fox face. Not exactly a good hit if you have to know the answer first.

Must be a pretty obscure reference. Am I the only one who calls Lee Van Cleef "Fox Face"?

This is the closest I can get to an actual fox face

I always called him "short finger" when I couldn't recall the name.
