You know the screws that go into the frame, so that the grip screws have something to bite into.. Where can I get some of those? Did a few quick Google searches but nothing came up :help:

They are called bushing screws, and I would order them from here: http://vzgrips.com/hardware/screws-and- ... d-bushings

I would order the Slim bushings, that way you could use a slim grip or a regular grip for your 1911.
Good to know that there's a difference. I currently already have Slim Grips (bought it that way) I had assumed only the screws were different.

THANKS!!!

Screw them in with a little Loctite on them so they don't come out, and be real careful when screwing them into the frame. The threads can get damaged easily. I know from experience.

yea.. wut had happened was, is that I was cleaning it and removed the grips and the bushing came with it.. inserted it back in and tried to snap the allen wrench real quick to get it to break free and never could.. so i tried to carefully pinch it with come cardboard between pliers but it still bit into the threads..

:( now I gotta carry a glock for a few days... :cantsay:

Dude, I can't afford 5 or 6 at once.. I've only been building my supply for 2 years.

of course i never meant at once. i've managed to build up my 1911 collection to 6 now since we met, all four of my sigs have been sold to help purchase my 1911's and even managed to get me an AR. 1911's are addicting, i'm gonna try to not to buy any guns this year except the 1911 i bought a couple weeks ago.
