After doing a little reading on the subject the 10mm is probably the least powerful handgun to be used for hunting any of the big five. Most countries in Africa mandate a rifle with a cal of . 375 or larger . And they are pretty strict about it. Every handgun hunt I can find documented was done with special permits by very well heeled hunters. Guides , which are required, I’m sure want a lot of extra money. Since they are responsible for the clients well being that would be understandable. Handguns and bows were pretty much laughed at until the 44 mag and compound bows became the standard. I couldn’t actually find any references to the 44 , everything I read was 454 casull and up. I’m not saying the 10 is not capable just saying with any handgun it’s pretty much a stunt.
