DEFACS is in a horrible position, if they leave a child in situation where something bad happens they take the blame, but they also get the blame if they do take a child. That being said, there isn't anyway they are coming to my house. When our daughter was born they came our hospital room wanting to set up visit to our house. It was very obvious they weren't used to being told no.

Get a lawyer, and tell them no way in hell are they allowed in the house. Never give you info to anybody, regardless of who they are!

First time I have ever heard of that.

They don't state that they are DEFACS. They have some sort of innocuous term for the visit. My little girl is three. My niece is five and was born in a different county, and they came to the hospital room and tried to set up a visit with my brother and his family as well.
