    i think they are expensive and rendered useless by their "off" button. as per my sig, i think they are a hack at a branch. they are a futile attempt to solve a symptom, not the illness.

    Simple solution. "Qualified Immunity" and the "color of law" are only valid if your body cam is recording. Otherwise your badge is just a shiny piece of metal. All recordings are public property, subject to FOIA, ORA, or whatever your jurisdiction calls that. Advertise that all police are recording all the time so nobody has any expectation of privacy when the police are present. Off button for bathroom time, but you pee as a citizen, not as LEO. Any event that is not recorded is not admissible in court. You are enforcement and camera toter, never a witness. Let's put modern technology behind the fifth amendment.
