I know that Match 10 and I aren’t the only reloaders here. We reload on most Saturdays.

Today was a low volume day for us. We loaded 40 rounds of 30-40 Krag for him to try in a recently acquired rifle. They are Hornady 150gr soft points. 20 at over 35gr of H335 and 20 are over 36 of H335.

We also loaded 100 .357 Magnum defensive rounds that are 125gr Hornady XTP over 9.5gr of Power Pistol, and 150 .357 soft target rounds that are 158gr Berry’s flat point over 5.9gr of W244.

.45acp
Worked up something new for me to test. 200gr LSWC, no lube groove, beveled base, coated. Hope they fly straight. I like the green. Think I will call them kryptonite bullets.

We load some similar ones over 8.5gr of Accurate No5. My Springfield Loaded and Gold Cold Cup National Match will shoot one hole groups all day with them, provided I do my part.

I don’t have a 45 ACP, but I reload a similar profile for 10 mm. My 10 mm colt Delta Elite has eaten 25,000 or more. My Rock Island 10 mm will not feed a single one. But I love the profile.

Getting ready to load some .44 once my mold gets here. My ruger has large throats and will lead badly if the bullets are undersized. A few bullet manufacturers will let you order any size from .430 to .433. I ordered a 250 grain Kieth gas check mold from accurate molds with a .433 (+.002/-0.00) dimension. I opened up a .430 Lee sizer to about 4323 or thereabouts as best I could measure. I used 320 grit lapping compound on some .452 bullets I had and pushed them through the sizer but gave up on that then went to a bore mop and a drill letting the die rotate every little bit too keep it uniform. I them polished it with a new bore mop and some polishing compound. I think this will work. I rotated the bullets in the mic and they measure the same all the way around.

I have my first 150 pieces of .45 Colt brass. 100 are new new Starline that I bought, and 50 are once fired Starline that I shot this morning. My dies should be here Tuesday, along with another 100 once fired bras.

Especially if they are hooked in the front rather than the back.

My .45 Colt die set arrived today. I sized the 50 that I fired on Saturday, and belled those, oblong with the 152 new Starline that I bought. All 152 were primed with Federal 150 primers and are ready to load. I also have 100 fired brass that I ordered from Mojo Brass that are in route.

Got my 44 mold and tried it out. Just enough to see how it would do and see if the checks would go on. I’ll cast a batch of these when I get more time.

I would definitely be interested in pouring some of these with you!

Odd autocorrect error. “Ready to load”. I corrected it.
What are you loading them with?
I bought a box of 250gr lead round nose flat point projectiles. I’m still reviewing load data, and am not sure what charge I will use yet.

Sure. These drop at .435. You may want to get a .430 sizer though. I opened mine up. I have pin gages if you want to check
I have the sizer
Ok we’ll do it. Next two weekends is busy, but after that fine
