I know that Match 10 and I aren’t the only reloaders here. We reload on most Saturdays.

Today was a low volume day for us. We loaded 40 rounds of 30-40 Krag for him to try in a recently acquired rifle. They are Hornady 150gr soft points. 20 at over 35gr of H335 and 20 are over 36 of H335.

We also loaded 100 .357 Magnum defensive rounds that are 125gr Hornady XTP over 9.5gr of Power Pistol, and 150 .357 soft target rounds that are 158gr Berry’s flat point over 5.9gr of W244.

The LED lighting is a game changer on a press. It made a bigger difference than we though it would.

My loading is a little of an odd situation. I live with my girlfriend in her 1br high rise with no room for a bench or a press. I have a Lee hand press that I use to prep brass at the coffee table. I’ll work at the coffee table a couple of nights a week while we hang out and watch TV after dinner. On most Saturday mornings I pick up Match10 and we’ll go to breakfast, hit a few gun stores or go shooting, then will drop powder and seat bullets on his RockChucker single stage press. Most of what we load we split down the middle unless it’s something that only one of shoots, or something special like my .357 defensive loads that we loaded last week, or when we load for my father.

Tonight I sized/decapped, belled, and primed 200 10mm cases to feed to my XDM Elite.

No room at the condo. I’m good prepping brass with the hand press, then seating on Match 10’s RockChucker.
I have a 16+ pound bag of cleaned 9mm that I’m going to sizing, expanding, and priming next week.

Multitasking while reloading?
While sizing brass, yes. When dropping powder charges and seating bullets, no.

You like Berry's bullets? They are plated, right?

I ask because they keyhole paper when shot out of my Glock 29. Apparently the Glock barrel will not stabilize plated bullets when fired at 10mm velocities.
They work well in my Springfield, and both of our 1911’s.
Anyone ever get a friction ignition when pressing a bullet in?
Nope

Tonight was about finishing some .357 mag cases that I started a few weeks ago. I belled 700 cases, and primed 500 with CCI small pistol magnum primers this evening.

I haven’t loaded with Mark or even played with brass in a few weeks. I have about 1500 cleaned 9mm cases to start working, and a growing back of dirty brass to start sorting and cleaning.
breakfast Saturday? And start again?
We’re going to have to wait until after your trip. I told Bruce that I’ll help at Piedmont Park this weekend.

.45acp
Worked up something new for me to test. 200gr LSWC, no lube groove, beveled base, coated. Hope they fly straight. I like the green. Think I will call them kryptonite bullets.

We load some similar ones over 8.5gr of Accurate No5. My Springfield Loaded and Gold Cold Cup National Match will shoot one hole groups all day with them, provided I do my part.

I have my first 150 pieces of .45 Colt brass. 100 are new new Starline that I bought, and 50 are once fired Starline that I shot this morning. My dies should be here Tuesday, along with another 100 once fired bras.
