I have the same question. I would like to get some new sights for my G34 so I can start entering some of the competitions. I don't like the Glock rear adjustable sight, I like the adjustable part but I think the sight setup is a bit sloppy for anything other than short range stuff. I have Sig night sights on my Sig P239 and I find the 3 dot setup there much better. I was thinking about some TruGlo or HiViz sights for this as I consider it more of a target gun (my G32 is better suited for uninvited guests). I would really like to have a rear adjustable site if anyone makes a decent one.

Also has anyone tried a Storm Lake barrel? Wondering if that would give my water pistol a little better accuracy over the factory water barrel.

what are your favorite sights?
I guess I would have to say my favorite sight would be Sara Brady, Rosy O'Donell and Hillary Clinton with thier mouths sewed shut!

so what are your favorite brand/type of sights? Especially ones for glocks :)
It would depend on the purpose. I have Ameriglo night sights on my G19 and like them very much. I have the GLOCK brand night sights on G27, and they give the exact same sight picture as the factory plastic sights. I don't like them as much as I do the Ameriglos. The Trijicon night sights seem to have a nice picture. If I were going to add night sights to another Glock, I'd probably go with Ameriglo Operators. They have a slightly wider rear notch, which I really like.

If you were to decide to go with Ameriglos, Clyde Armory out in Bogart is a dealer and will install them with purchase. I paid $69, IIRC, for mine there. I don't know if the other local places will install with purchase for no extra charge or not. If you order something, I have the Glock sight tools and would be happy to help you out. I'm a Glock armorer.

If I were outfitting something like a G34, which I may be doing soon, for competition, I'd probably go with something like the Ameriglo Combat sights, which have a wider rear notch. I might even combine the Combat rear with their thinner front sight. I'll be doing more research on this issue though.

I have Novaks on all of my S&W autos and like them, and I have a set on my Springer 1911. I may soon send the 1911 to Novak to have their Extreme Duty adjustable rear sight installed.

well mostly I just have a hard time quickly aquiring a sight picture with the factory sights on the glock. When I was shooting Dan's XD i could aquire the target much faster and more accurately. Whether it was because of the sights or just the difference in pistol I am not sure but it sure seemed to be the sights for a portion of it.

Just wanted to look at several different ones and see if anything struck my fancy.

On my G17 I have Ameriglo Operator Night sights. I like the smooth profile of the operators, which makes them snag free. I bought them from Rick at Ameriglo while at the Conyers GSSF match and the armorer at the match install them for free. I thnk I paid $50 for them (Rick was running a show special).

Gotchya. You're welcome to check out my Ameriglos, and Clyde's has some with Trijicons in stock.

The stock GLOCK sights don't give the best of sight pictures.

I like the TFO's as well, but what I like about mine is the fact that there arent 3 fiber optics to look at, just the one up front in between the heinie sites in the back. Personal preference really, but I agree that sites make a big difference.

Also, TFO's are night sites, mine arent.

You might want to save your money though and skip the sites and go ahead and trade your G for an XD, I think we all see that coming... ;-)

I cannot sell out on my g19... there is something about your first that makes you want to keep it...

maybe in the next yr or so it will get a little friend. right now one the top of the gun list is a pocket gun (keltec or bersa) and an AR 15 (or something like that).

hmmm, I need to find some rich folks to adopt me.
