April Hunt | Sentinel Staff Writer

Orlando police are at the scene of a robbery at the Wal-Mart on Kirkman Road this morning.

Police said that a man robbed the store at about 7:10 a.m. and robbed on of the cashier's lanes.

The man then fled in a 2004 silver Chevrolet Impala with a gray interior, occupied by five men.

Crime scene technicians are at the store this morning, gathering evidence.

Check back for more updates.

Check the starting and average salaries of average newspaper writers/reporters and you'll realize that no sane or competant person would stay in that business.

It's rather obvious they don't hire English majors...

Am I missing something? A store gets robbed. It's Wal-mart. So what? What's the point? Stores get robbed all the time. Hundreds of times a day, nationwide. This store was in Florida. How is this supposed to interest gun-packers in Georgia?

Well, there was the incident quite a while ago where a guy in Georgia WAS arrested and charged for carrying in a Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart also has a no-guns policy. Also, I think robbing a Wal-Mart is pretty darn brazen given the number of quick-e-stops and liquor stores that usually surround them. IMHO once you see a Wal-Mart get robbed in your town, it's time to go to constant condition orange or get the heck out!
