All authoritarian statism fear mongering aside, the biggest misconception about peaceful voluntarism is that its niave, or its so people who want voluntarism can harm others.

Most people do not want to physically harm others.

The misconceptions about voluntarism couldn't be farther from the truth. Voluntarism is love. We want peace. We will have better firearms, more effective, and amazing great self-defense innovations with government laws, regs, and rules out of the way. Better firearms. We are very pro-self-defense. We want peace, but if you initiate aggression and force against us we will do whatever we have to and stop you. That includes people forming an Authoritarian Government and trying to force us or kill us.

Without authoritarian government the Darwin effect work better, weeding out the dumb, violent, psychopaths, ect. That's a good thing.

Since more people will be armed for their defense, or pay others for personal defense, psychopaths and the violent will be killed instead of arrested and let back out into society over and over.

We are for maximum self-defense among moral grounds.

Private intelligence agencies work better than government ones. We pay them to inform us of what is going on in the world and homeland. We have a media not state sponsored and controlled. You will still need your critical thinking skills to not be fooled. Many private intelligence agencies believe in open source intelligence.

As far as defense, you would be able to hire anyone we felt that we needed in order to protect yourself and your property, because of the rise of the internet, there's also the chance for an assassination politics Marketplace. If there is a large force, collectivist country attacking you, pay enough money for a bunch of ex-Seal Team 6 type guys to figure out how to take out all the leadership.

With the government out of the way and our economy booming and expanding we will have so much currency and value that we will be able to afford to do such things. Just imagine if you didn't have to pay 55% of your income the government every year.

Voluntarism is about loving your neighbor with voluntary selfless love, instead of wanting to steal from your neighbor, letting the agents of the state be your muscle, and having them redistribute the money or force your opinion on your neighbor at the point of a government gun.

The state makes us believe it's necessary, while everything can be accomplished through mutual and voluntary interactions much better, more efficiently, and much more cheaply than through state coerced and forced reactions. Not to mention, you actually get moral points for empathy, altruism, and compassion when giving is voluntary, instead of coerced, forced, or stolen from people and then redistributed to people the government deems need it more than you.

The government is incredibly, ridiculously wasteful in its bureaucracies that redistribute that wealth and is spending. In some cases, 99% of all money taken is spent funding the bureaucracy that handles the redistribution of wealth.

As we do now, we see that the larger and more powerful that the government gets, and the more power that we give the government the more the politicians at the top line their pockets and get insanely rich, simply out of holding an elected office. Socialism is actually the worst one, is most socialist politicians in socialist countries end up becoming insanely wealthy, as well as coming this countries. Vladimir Putin is a good example of this. There are many others as well. Hugo Chavez for instance.

We see the same with judges and kick backs and favors.

Because of the war on drugs we see this with police officers, detectives, and investigators.

If more share this message and can be deprogrammed of their beliefs in statism, be convinced, we could start to slowly and careful move the US to a voluntary lifestyle instead one of government force.

Voluntarism is about loving your fellow neighbor instead of trying to force everything in your neighbor with a government gun.

Not to mention what our economy would do without negative government intervention, regulations, taxes, and public employees. Our economy would absolutely explode.

Larken Rose - "I rant and rave and condemn authoritarian ideas because I love humanity."

No one has a moral right to rule over you! No one! Don't legitimize your enslavement or the enslavement of anyone else!

I know it's hard for everyone to understand, but those who rant and rave against authoritarian government are doing it out of love for all of humanity. We do it out of love.

Throughout human history (starting not long after the Garden of Eden), people have organized some form of human government. The trend does not seem to be diminishing.

So, who is going to force everyone to take the voluntarism path?

    If they don't, what then?

Can voluntarists withdraw from statist society and form their own system of... wait, where was I?

Anyway, the concept does have a certain appeal, for it appeals to liberty. But can there be enough enjoyment of liberty within the framework of a human government to satisfy a liberty loving soul? I think at one time people enjoyed more liberty in the United States than we do now. We could try and get back to that, if it's not too late.

I think a large part of what happened came from the burden of ever increasing regulations heaped upon the American people by unelected bureaucrats. President Trump recently gave a speech in which he said he will be cutting out a lot of those. That's a start. Not to mention his Supreme Court picks.

I actually agree with you, people form government so they can institutionalize and force sin on other people, as well as in their opinions force things on people that do bad things and hurt people as well. It is about one man wanting to control another man with Force. We tend to use Firearms to force people to do what we want today.

Volunteerism is not that far off, instead of forming a government in order to try and force people not to hurt you, we believe that you should have a firearm and anyone including the government that tries to Force you or harm you or make you do something that you don't want to do, you will have to actively enforce that the person not harm you.

Another sticking point is it is not compassion to form a government that then takes money from people, and then redistribute it where it sees fit, sometimes that is people who are less fortunate. We just believe that it is much more passionate, moral, alruistic and better for all of society if we give through charity and altruism to people who are needy, as you then get the moral quality points because you're giving was voluntary to the needy, and it wasn't forced at the tip of a government gun.

It is not altruism, compassion, or moral, to point a gun at someone make them give you money, so that you can redistribute it to people who are needy.

Under volunteerism, giving to the needy would be altruistic, compassionate and moral.

Just imagine how much more efficiently and how much more money we will have when we don't have to pay 55% of our income to the government through various taxes, we can provide her own defense through private contracts, contracts that we enforce, and we can choose when we freely give to the needy. I suspect we will all have a lot more money to give to the needy.

Also, don't forget that a lot of your tax money that is taken from you, it is not to help the needy, but is to help boost up corporations that make terrible choices, and that we should have just let fail naturally from their own terrible and bad decisions that they made in business. Our tax money is literally being used so that corporations do not have to suffer the negative consequences of their terrible decisions.
