Somebody posted this news story within some other post about a different incident, totally different facts and circumstances, and different outcome.

THIS news story is about a right-wing Trump supporter and U.S. military veteran who said that if AntiFa goes too far, he'll kill them all. He said he already has a plan to do it.

For that comment, he was the subject of a Red Flag emergency order and gun confiscation.

That story broke a month ago, but the latest news is that he lost his gun rights upon judicial review of the case, and now the no-guns order is in place for a minimum of 12 months, and can be renewed indefinitely.

He ran his big mouth in a clearly threatening way, going far from talk about lawful use of deadly force in self-defense. He ventured into domestic terrorist territory, hunting down his political enemies and murdering them.

    QUOTE FROM F.B.I. spokesman:
The feds defend their decision to revoke this veteran’s gun rights, as they claim his extremist rhetoric against ANTIFA revokes his freedom under 2nd Amendment.

He’s not talking about self-defense.” FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force member Jeremy Stinson said. “He’s talking about slaughter, he’s talking about murder, he’s talking about going out and finding people in their homes and killing them.”

I think the authorities have it right, and I'm glad he lost his gun rights.

So saying you are going to scream Fire in the theater showing Batman is worthy of revoking rights?

Sure sounds like the same idea to me.

    From the linked article
“If ANTIFA gets to the point where they start killing us, I’m going to kill them next,” said Shane Kohfield, a 32-year-old former Marine. “I’d slaughter them and I have a detailed plan on how I would wipe out ANTIFA.”
    Should have said:
If ANTIFA gets to the point where they start killing us, I'm going to submit to their will in hopes they don't kill me. I'd have a detailed plan on how to support them and help them wipe out any opposition.
    There does that work better?

Another article, not the latest one but this one goes into more detail about how the man intended to portray himself as dangerous to intimidate the socialists. He said that he wanted to be seen as the most dangerous person there, and that he realizes now (after getting out of the veterans administration hospital following a few weeks of mental health treatment and evaluation) that anybody looking at him would see him as dangerous.

The article also says that he's been collecting military disability benefits and Social Security disability for mental issues related to PTSD and other problems that developed during his tours in the sandbox.

The article is on Oregon but I can't link to it without having it routed through Google.
