Vehicle carry question on ARFCOM

    :ianal: The way I interpret Moody v. State, Ross v. State & Lindsey v. State, that picture on AR15.com is *not* in plain view.

    I agree. I doubt that you could see that through the rear window. to be consideder "in plain view" doesn't it have to be visible from all four sides of the vehicle? I would say that being partially concealed you would require A GFL to carry like that.

    I like how the caselaw I cited is refuted by them with, "That doesn't make any sense, so it doesn't apply to this situation..."

    I was hoping he'd chime in with an anecdote about how many times he's presented the officer at the traffic stop with his DL in one hand, his pistol in the other and his GFL clenched between his teeth.
