Question: What is a fair price (private sale) for a gen 2 Glock 19 with 2 magazines in good condition?

Most I see go for around $400 plus or minus $30 depending on condition, how bad the seller needs to sell, how bad the buyer wants it etc.

I would agree with No name. 375-425 depending on condition is about right. Eds in Stockbridge sell them for 359 plus tax which rounds out to right below 400. Anywhere in that range is a good deal for you.

Unless the Arizona massacre changed something about the price of this sort of gun lately, I'd say that $400 -$450 is a fair price. That's $100 - $150 less than a new one, but probably about what that 2nd generation Glock sold for itself back in the day. My guess is that if the seller attempts to sell a used one within 25% of what a new one costs, most people would rather just pay a little more and buy a brand new one from a dealer.

EDITED TO ADD: What, there are dealers selling Glocks for $360? Don't you have to be a member of the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation or a card-carrying LEO to get that price?
Most of the gun shops I go to, I thought the 9mm Glocks were $500-$550.

A co-worker of mine has a G.19 that he wants to rid himself of and this confirms that the price is right. Thanks for the info!

I would assume he was speaking of used models. I paid $479+tax for my new G19.

Those $360 glocks are probably police trade ins, they usually go in the $350 to $380 range.

Sign up for GSSF and you can get new ones for less than 500 from eds, 400 jewelry & pawn, forsyth pawn and cherokee pawn. I think any glock dealer can sign you up if you ask but these guys promote the program to help you get the discount.

I thought about signing up sp when I get straightened out I can get a new G17. I want one to keep around the house for the Fiance to shoot and Hd. She doesnt care for my revolvers and can shoot the G17 and 19 very well.

GSSF prices for standard a GLOCK is $425.00. The cost of a first year membership with GSSF is $35.00. After that, it's $25.00 a year, unless you win 4 year extension at a GSSF match like I did. :)

With the GSSF membership, you get one (1) GLOCK at the discounted price per year, can participate in GLOCK matches, several of which are held within a decent driving distance around here, and you can also currently sign up and attend the GLOCk Armorers course. If you attend and pass the armorers course, you get an even cheaper rate on the guns, and if I'm not mistaken, you can purchase more than 1 a year. As an Armorer, you are also able to buy parts directly from GLOCK.

    I think it's a pretty good deal for $35.00. :)
