Well our last phenomenally successful shoot was almost 3 months ago. We have lots of new memebrs and I've got some more friends I want to bring out this time so I think it's time we start planning for the next shoot em up! :D

ok, it's looking like 10/13 is the preferred date.

Now on to where.

Ramm's proposed the Ocmulgee WMA. Some of our south GA friends would like something a bit more south. I'm in the middle (literally) so I don't care too much.

Continue le discussion.

yes a location closer to this neck of the woods would be nice. If it does go on down here, anyone is welcome at my house, I got plenty of room.

I believe Ramm already has plans working for the next shoot. Here is what I sugested to him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have a WMA range about 45 minutes north of here.

Shooting Range: Hannahatchee Creek WMA

Location: Stewart County

Facilities: 175 yard and 35 yard ranges (35 yard range is handgun only)

Directions: From Richland, take GA Hwy 27 west toward Lumpkin. Go 4 miles to the 1st paved road and turn right. Go 3 miles and turn left. Go 1 mile to 1st dirt road on right. Turn right and proceed approximately 0.5 miles and range will be on right.

Range Hours: Tuesday- Sunday: sunrise to sunset, Monday- CLOSED

Would plinking with a .22 rifle be allowed here?

By what it says I would imagine you would need to do that on the rifle side. There is no rule against handguns on the rifle side so you could shoot everything you bring there.

Here is what I propose:
Seeing as how the Hannahatchee Creek WMA is in no way centrally located; I think Ocmulgee WMA is the best choice.

On this map the Ocmulgee WMA is number 62.

Shooting Range: Ocmulgee WMA
Location: Pulaski County
Facilities: 100 yard and 50 yard ranges
Directions: From Hawkinsville take US Hwy 341 south to GA Hwy 26. Turn left
and travel 0.3 miles to Upper River Road. Turn left and travel approximately 4.5 miles to range sign. Turn left on WMA dirt road and travel 2.0 miles to range.
Range Hours: Tuesday- Saturday: sunrise- sunset
Sunday- Monday: 1:00 pm- sunset

I propose we set the date for 13 October 2007 (Saturday). This allows everyone plenty of time to plan ahead.

Because we all know how "centrally located" the rest of our shoots, not to mention the luncheon, have been... :shakehead:

That's ok, I see how it is.... :surrender:

and they wonder why we don't have more members from Southern Georgia....

I would like to make a shoot with you guys but that weekend I'll be at the Gwinnett Eastman show.

Is this date set or still flexible. I don't mind a drive and would like to attend a shoot with everyone.

Chris

ETA. Never mind, the Eastman show is on the 29th & 30th of Sept. I see that the date had been changed to Oct 13th.

Butters, you can ride with us. I got a 4 door with an 8 foot trunk. Plenty of room.

:D

Speaking of the show, I should probably go ahead and call to reserve a table. :grumble:
