Ukraine has done better than expected

I posted this in a new thread because I did not know where else to put it. Ukraine has surprised me. Russia is having a great deal more difficulty than it bargained for. Putin already asked Ukraine for talks. Their army has bogged down. They do not control the air.

This all surprises me.

I still do not expect Ukraine to win, but I thought the short jaunt to Kiev would have been covered by now, and with the size of the invasion in the eastern provinces, I am a little surprised that bogged down, too.

There is fear that Russia will use a thermobaric bombs if their timeline is delayed. Putin may have thought his military could just walk in and quickly take over. Good for the Ukrainians for making it difficult. One soldier blew himself up to blow up a bridge as tanks were approaching. Soldiers guarding Snake Island told Russian warship to go f themselves before being bombed and killed.

Putin apparently thinks he is tougher than the world considers him?

There are reports of a Ukrainian pilot that shot down several Russians. Not sure if true ...

I heard that this morning while driving to the gym.

Norway is in NATO. Sweden and Finland are not. Ukraine voted to join the EU and NATO, what, 3 years ago?

Not able to reach Kiev, the Russians have been raining down missiles on civilians instead.

Hopefully this all backfires on Putin. It apparently isn't as easy as he anticipated.

My wife mentioned that if the current administration keeps up, China and Russia will think they can do whatever they want and take on the US. Your picture reminded me that I told her, "Red Dawn," before she said, no, silly, not an invasion, just in the rest of the world . . . which woke me up out of my 80s daydreaming.

It might not be a bad idea to at least make plans in case that does happen.
Don't know if this has been peer reviewed.
They are in Kharkiv (second largest city) in small groups, fighting with Ukrainian armed forces. The police in Kharkiv are telling residents to shelter.

Southern Ukraine? Is this a third prong from Crimea or amphibious landing or paratroopers or what? Anybody know?

Check out the-- Who We Are page.

First name on the list gets credibility from me. Keane is a regular contributor to Fox News and had 4 stars on each shoulder.

This part of the Russian operation is to drive out or encircle and eliminate the Ukronazi troops that have been attacking and killing the predominately Russian populations in the Donbass region of southeastern Ukraine since 2014. The new Donetsk and Luhansk Peoples Republics recently recognized by Russia. The entire southern coast from the Donbass region west to Mariupol and Odesa is to be liberated. There's no actual fighting in Crimea.

These past three days of fighting has seen almost 99% of the news (even Fox now) supporting and cheering on the Ukrainians. If the government approved news outlets are peoples only sources of the conflict, one could reasonably assume that the Russian forces have hit a stalemate, the Ukranians are holding their own and even trouncing the Russians, the majority of Russian citizens are against Putin and the war and the Chinese are going to stop any funding for the war and go in and take Putin out of power. Not going to happen. The "news" is mostly all psyops against Russia. This war is far from over but it's not going to last long. Unless the dick waving Western leaders, primarily Biden, Johnson and that idiot NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg do and/or say something really, really stupid. And then we will all pay for it.

And that is all you need to be aware of and be afraid of.
I guess everyone is starting to wake up to the reality of a nuclear conflict. Putin did say if anyone interfered the world would see something it had never seen before.

I have said this ....for years ....

"The DNC would much rather go to war with Russia than for the world to see their corruption".

Putin said as much in his address. He called it "the empire of lies"

All I am going to say at this point is that a Russian never threatened my job unless I took an experimental vaccine for a virus that has a 99.7% recovery rate. A Russian never threatened to inject my kids. A Russian never called me a fascist racist bigot just for being white. A Russian never called me a xenophobic bully for wanting to protect my national sovereignty and borders from illegal invaders. A Russian never threatened to fine/punish me for not using preferred pronouns.

I'm not going to hate the Russians simply because a corrupt political party is telling me to. And it's that corrupt political party that is going to get us nuked.
Reports Chechen military is involved, assisting Russians.

Note source.
