If you had to narrow down your top objection/issue with current Georgia carry laws, what would it be?

OK. I'm confused. The subject says top 3, but the post says top 2, but you can only vote once.

Do you mean: Out of our top 3, pick one?

I voted for the one that I effects me the most. I hate disarming just so I can get something to eat at a place that's not fast food. This law seems to want to make GFL holders fat! Gov owned buildings would be second and clearly defining the public gathering would be third. Well maybe fourth. I think maybe carry at sporting events would be third. I hate disarming to go to see the Dawgs play too.

I know, I saw that, I edited it as soon as I could. It's top pick now. I didn't know the poll would only let you choose one answer.

I voted Public gathering, and I think that if it is handled correctly, it could answer the "places that serve alcohol" question too.

The only reason I went with "Places that serve alcohol" is because the public gathering one is very vague. Removing the alcohol restriction could be a very clear and defined action to take. This one has an easy solution. "Public gathering" is right up there for me as well.

Places that serve Alcohol is on my list too, I shouldn't have to disarm and leave my family defenseless just because I want to go into Outback and have some cheese fries. I like the way VA has their law, Open carry in places that serve.

I'm glad you all find the above list useful, but please don't limit yourself to only these choices, you may mention any other aspect of carry in Georgia that you find objectionable as well. Even if that issue isn't your #1, it may be someone else's. Thank you.

I voted for "other" because "all of the above" wasn't an option. :D

I agree with USMC. I voted the one that affects me most - places that serve - but the public gather law is a REALLY close second. If we could get those two cleared up I would personally be a much ahppier GFL carrier.

I voted PG, although the alcohol issue is a very close 2nd.

Public gathering is a big one, but no carry at school affects me equally, if not more.

    +1

Maybe just a generic "off-limits places" cleanup...

Why would you say that. I went back to school at 35 and I expect you were not the youngest person in your law school.

The college ban effects way more folks than the 18-22 crowd.

Yes I reconized your attempt at humor, but its not funny in this case. [-X

yes it does, I refuse to learn what those smelly medicine tubes were in my Grandfathers medicine cabinet or how to play shuffle board until I am at least 60.

I voted PG because I think anything prohibited should be clearly defined...the current law leaves too much to the cops and the judge. I nearly voted places that serve alcohol; it's a very close second with me.
