Was her first time ever shooting a gun ever and she did AWESOME!! was a little nervous at first, but i started her out on the p22 and she kept everything on paper, then jumped up to the 9mm and loved it.

She kicked some ass!! HOOOAAHH!

On a side note, she's not 21 quite yet but I bought her one of those Kimber Pepper Blasters.. Thought it had an advantage over regular pepper spray/mace.. Anyone had experience with these?

Guessing she is not "Team Jacob"
That's funny. Bullseye had Edward posters on Monday.
Silver FMJ seems sorta expensive for the range.....

With that smile, I'd say she's ready for the Desert Eagle 50. :righton:

I have one. IMHO it's a definite advantage over regular pepper spray for 2 reasons.

1, this is the OC spray that is used in prisons. Wanna see how effective it is? Watch a season of "Lockdown" by national geographic (stream on netflix). You'll see some big ole boys screaming & whining from this stuff.

2, the delivery system being an incindiary charge beats the hell out of a pressure canister which (a) can lose pressure, and (b) may be problematic in the wind or rain.
Nice!! Love the Target selection

The other night at Bullseye in L-ville, someone shot up a poster of Edward from Twighlight. I took a picture and showed it to my teenage daughter and she thought it was sooooo funny. She remarked how it would not be funny at all if the picture was of Jacob (Taylor L.). I don't know how to spell his last name.

Yea those were my thoughts too.. and getting hit in the face from a 90mph blob of whatever? that's gonna make u take a step back for a second.
OK, this is just a blatant shameless exercise of showing off your girl friend. :righton:

Has anyone ever actually shot one of those? I have. It's pretty darn hard to aim, under calm conditions, even at close range. Not to mention you only have 2 shots with it.

Personally I would either go with a spray or one of the spray gels if you're worried about blow back. A sprayer is much more intuitive and you can move it as you spray to get it on target. Just my .02 as someone who tested out a couple of different options for my fiance (who still refuses to carry a gun :( ).

If you want something in a pepper spray "gun" I would go with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Mace-Pepper-Gun-B ... 473&sr=1-8

They sell water cartridges for practicing with it too.

Ultimately after trying out a couple of normal spray canisters, I went with this for the fiance: http://www.amazon.com/Ounce-Magnum-Red- ... sbs_misc_3

It had good pressure and while I didn't spray myself with it or anything I'm sure it wouldn't be too much fun. My eyes got watery just being around it when fired.

I've been considering getting her one of these too: http://www.amazon.com/ASP-Tactical-Bato ... 800&sr=1-2

Batons don't run out of spray

She does not have to be 21 to own/possess a handgun. Assuming that she is at least 18 nothing says that you couldn't give her a handgun as a gift, sell her one, or let her borrow one of yours.

She could then keep it at the ready at her home for protection, in her car, or at her job without a GWL.

She could also obtain, I think, a Maine non-resident carry permit starting at 18. However, it wouldn't help her here in Georgia.

I won't carry pepper spray. If an attacker got hold of whatever weapon I have, I think I'd rather be shot... every cop I know that has experienced pepper spray agrees.

Have you considered a taser?... completely incapacitating but your eyes won't water when shooting it. Some come with insanely loud alarms that go off when.you pull the trigger so people can call for help. Some come with a waistband safety that will prevent it from working if the perp snatches it.
I'm trying to get her more used to a my 9mm and using it before i "gift" it to her.. The pepper spray is for her to keep on her all the time.
Could you maybe retake the picture with her holding the poster but with it turned edgewise so we can see the bullet penetration through the poster? (It'd be interesting to see the length of the paper tears)
Not bad for first time. I would invest in some snap caps for some dry firing practice.

As to the OC, Taser debate.
I have been hit by a stungun, police grade OC CS, and been tear gassed. Thankfully never shot.

OC CS mace is the way to go, stream gel spray or foam, is up to you. Tasers suck, tear gas....didn't do anything to me, mace is hell fire and suffering in a CAN. When people talk about opening a can of whoop A$$, thats what they are talking about. Foam, and Gel are better for high winds and such. Streams and sprays are better for poor aim.

For the record do not trust the little grandma next to you at the stungun pepperspray booth at at gunshow. She is wondering how effective they are and will test them on the person next to her.....
Do not be the guy next to her.
Cute!,..................but too well hidden! Job well done! Congrats!
To the OP: so you have a 20 year old, cute blonde girlfriend who loves to shoot guns?

You sir, have it made. Our collective hats are off to you. YOU DA MAN.
