Tom Petty was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after he was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ. We're told after Petty got to the hospital he had no brain activity and a decision was made to pull life support.

This is turning out to be a really, really sucky day....

There is no chance he’s coming back from that. He wasn’t dead at the time I posted the story, but he wasn’t likely to make it much longer. No brain activity at that time and was being taken off life support and given last rights...
