I don't think a thumb print actually makes it into the FBI database. I was always under the impression that you needed a full set. Many places that take your thumb or finger prints don't include them in the central FBI database used for criminals purposes. Regardless, I would never think of committing a crime since FBI has had my prints for a long time now. I am also sure that I probably have very detailed files with at least a few of the govt agencies.

Having said all that, I am a US citizen and I DO NOT WANT damn Brits to have my finger prints or DNA just cause I may want to see the sights in London one day.

Or that too... the Ummmmmmma Thurma quotient is quite high in this movie.
