Speaking of mags and slapping/seating, I did that with every mag I loaded on Sunday. Also, just bought 2 Chip McCormick power mags from Midway. Should be here on next Tuesday Now I really have to find some time to shoot!

Chip McCormick mags are all I run in my 1991 Colt with no failures. On your FTE, most of the time I've experienced that the shooter was not holding the pistol tight enough. Did the shell stove pipe?

No, the casing didn't stovepipe. It just completely failed to extract. The case was stuck halfway in and halfway out of the chamber, with the next round's pressure on the empty casing causing the stoppage.

It may or may not have been a limp-wrist issue, but I haven't ever had any problems with that before.

I hope the CMC mags make the gun reliable as they have with other folks guns.

Got my CMC power mags today...now to scrounge up some ammo and shoot this puppy some more!
