So, are we going to a straight media blackout or are they going to fumble the ball for a while?

No info on shooter at all. 50 normally attend that church it seems everyone there got shot. No word of church had a 30.06 sign but a baptist church with a website (it's down) just might.

Obviously, they forgot the sign. The media can report that it's their own fault for various reasons.

At some point, regardless of cause or reason, politicians of all parties and in all levels of government, are going to quickly and decisively make their move.

This action will come despite our protests, lobbying efforts or protests.

These nut-jobs are intent on ruining any progress or freedoms we have.

So basically, someone (we don't know who yet) just shot up some more country music fans.

Update (5:00 pm ET): Rep. Vicente Gonzalez told MSNBC that today's shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas wasn't terrorism related. He added that 25 people have been confirmed dead. He said he heard reports that 24 people have been confirmed dead, while 20 people are injured. We won’t have final numbers until probably a few more hours." Media reports are now saying 25 people have been confirmed dead.
Gonzalez added that "apparently the shooter was not from the area, he was from outside of that area."
and then contradicts that with
He added that, based on what he knew, he did not believe the incident was related to terrorism, but "was some kind of other incident that has to do with the church or the community."

When you Google "Samir Al-Hajeed" that is supposed to be his muslim name, you get a lot of references to hoaxes about the Mandalay Bay shooter. So I assume Samir Al-Hajeed is a different real person who gets repeatedly blamed for terrorist attacks.

I just went to Google maps to try to use Street View to see if any 30.06 signs were visible (I hear they have to be quite large). The Street View directly in front of the church on two streets is not available even though Street View seems to cover the rest of the town. Would Google remove it for some reason? It is not like it is a live view.

Well this is interesting if true.
At approximately 11:20 the suspect was scene at a Valero gas station wearing all black. Shortly after, he entered the church and started firing. As he exited the church, a local resident grabbed his rifle and wrestled it away from him, causing him to flee on foot. The individual then gave chase. Police don't know if the resident shot him, or if he shot himself. His car crashed, and when police found it he had died after sustaining a gunshot wound.

From Fox News in the press conference, killer had a Ruger AR type rifle. Armed civilian engaged the killer outside the church with a shotgun and hit him with at least one shot. Armed civilian attempted to pursue bad guy. (but...truth may well change)
