"Some people think it was reincarnated in Arizona or something"
Fully half the people in the UK are below average intelligence anyway.....
That video actually made my head hurt. I think they should revoke the voting privileges of anyone who appeared in that video. Including those were walking in the background.
I shouldn't be, but I couldn't help laughing.
wow really amazing......... now what I would like to know is the percentage of folks that answered these questions like they did.... naturally, if they ask 100 people and 25 answered the way these folks did ... then 25% of the "Americans" polled were not very intelligent (to say the least). However, if 100 out of 100 answered this way then that is way too scarey... but I will tend to believe that these were highly selected answers and not the norm. But it clearly shows the low intelligence level of some people.
I just think that is completely and utterly sad. I just couldn't laugh.
Its hard to believe that so many Americans are that stupid, but we see videos like this all the time.
Remember the videos they took from voters in 2008? So many people that didn't know a thing about who they voted for, or about politics in general. Its no wonder we keep voting in the same awful politicians over and over again. Is it any wonder that our country voted in a purely Socialist president this past time? They sure know extraneous or false information on Palin, though. Most of the politicians that we vote in from both parties are at least in part Socialist, so I'm not just picking on Obama.
Anyone can get hours of video interviews and cut the smart folks out, and do it in nearly any country, too.
One you tube video proves that the entire country is stupid? I think not.
Great Googly Moogly.... that was painful....
But they could tell you who won an Oscar or the starting line up of their favorite team etc..... Gov't education it it's finest I'd say. The ruling class wants an uneducated, easily lead populace.....
I couldn't watch the whole thing.
It shames me to admit I have no idea who, or which movie won the latest Oscar. I don't know when when the various sporting seasons begin nor end. I don't even know who won the Super Bowl since baseball bores me beyond tears.
I think some of these people intentionally gave a stupid answer so that they would get on TV.
They knew that a correct answer was NOT what the reporter was looking for and correct answers would be edited-out of the final report / film / video product.
P.S. Some of these people may also have been very nervous and had a "brain fart."
I remember one time I took an I.Q. type test and they asked "what do cats and mice have in common."
I gave some stupid response that didn't really address the question at all, but instead pointed out how they are supposed to be natural enemies and this has become part of popular culture ("cat and mouse game"; "Tom and Jerry" cartoon, etc.)
The CORRECT answer came to be about 10 seconds AFTER we had moved to the next question.
Cats and mice are mammals. Cats and mice have whiskers. They don't have single babies; they have "litters" of young.
But I couldn't think of any of those things soon enough.
Yeah, yeah... and the British do NOT have terrible teeth and drive ridiculous looking little mini cars.
They can make dumb generalizations all they want. They know there are certainly some dumb Americans in America, although they also know they're a small percentage of the population. Same rule applies to British folks with bad teeth and tiny cars, though I think the percentage of those may be significantly higher.
