Okay, I've been thinking about "investing" in a range bag for some time. I need something a little bigger than my gov't issue mechanic's bag. I figure it needs to be big enough to tote two pistols, 300 rounds of ammo, a cleaning kit, spare mags for both pistols, muffs and glasses. Something I don't have yet, but figure I REALLY need a hardwood dowel and hammer for squibs. What other items are must-haves for a range bag?

Check out the MidwayUSA range bags (especially the large one if you carry a lot of stuff). They go on sale all the time. http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#mi...e=mpimgrangebag&utm_medium=midwayusabrandpage

Additional items I carry with the large range bag:

    tape and/or stapler for targets
    multi tool
    allen wrench
    blue loctite
bore snakes instead of cleaning kit
    grease/oil
    bipod
    nitrile gloves
    hand wipes
extra ear muffs and eye glasses

I have the large Midway bag. I can put ammo for two people for 4 different caliber handguns with 2 xd, 2 glock, and 8 1911 mags, a cleaning rod, solvent, oil, patches, loop jag, 2 glasses, spray adhesive for targets, and still have room for more. (I just cannot carry any more it fells like it is over 50#'s)
