Did they wait to get your money before informing you?
Sprouts in Cumming
being new to the area, we decided to drive around looking for fresh produce yesterday. found a cool fruit stand of Spot Rd, ut selection was limited and it's a bit out of the way. Decided to go into Sprouts, which i guess is trying to be Whole Foods. We were so happy to be able to find Kabocha drinks, Raw Trail mix, Bison Jerky and other things we haven't been able to get since moving out of Downtown 4 years ago.
Well we spent the better part of an hour in the store, literally went everywhere checking everything out. we had an awesome cashier who offered me a free Honey Shot and was very polite. as My Girlfriend was paying, I started to fill out the email club card at the end of the register. I was approached by a polite guy who i guess was the manager. He politely told me it was store policy from AZ that they do not allow guns in the store and that they are one of the few stores in GA that don't allow firearms. he also showed me the sign that was pretty much transparent on the front door off to the side.
the cashier said she hopes that wouldn't keep us from shopping there when I returned to the counter to finish the clu email card and just crumbled it up and said unfortunately it will.
Again, everyone was very polite and the guy seemed like he didn't want to tell me the policy but had to as part of his job. I'll write the HQ and ask why they don't follow state law. Unfortunately, We won;t e shopping there as long as our guns are not allowed. which is a real shame...
I guess we will have to drive down to Milton for the Whole foods...

That sucks. We don't go very often but when we do we get a lot of good stuff. Remove them from the list.

There is an earth fair off of exit 13 which is another just like whole foods and sprouts.

Proximity to campus may be (one of) the reason(s) I don't go but I'm pretty sure the Earth Fare in Athens has a big fat No Guns sign on the door.There is an earth fair off of exit 13 which is another just like whole foods and sprouts.

November will be 20 years that I've been here. I've darkened the front door to that establishment exactly once. They're not in danger of losing any $$ from me anytime soon. If you are familiar with the 5-Points area of Athens you're probably aware that they'd likely lose more $$ and there would be much more of an uprising if they removed the sign.Sounds like you need to go just to make sure the sign is there and discuss the loss of $$ it makes to the store by having it.
