Southern 'Poverty' Law Center's
Cayman Island's Bank Account

Assets for the organization are listed at $190 million, a nice chunk of change in these economic hard times. When was the last time this group, with almost $190 million in assets, did a damn worthwhile thing about, um, poverty? he latest 990 additionally shows founder and chief trial counsel Morris Dees had his salary raised to $350,000, and his CEO, Richard Cohen, is close behind at $345,000.

For Dees, the P in SPLC has nothing to do with personal poverty. That P better stands for profit or profiteering for him, and foolish donors keep sending him checks, thinking they're helping poverty-stricken blacks or whites in Alabama move into better housing.

Since we're on the subject of abodes in the Yellowhammer State, let's have a gander at where Dees lives courtesy of the May 2010 Montgomery Advertiser 60-photo feature just on his mansion, the opulent furnishings and layout, not to mention a fabulous outfit shown off by his wife:
Much much more good stuff: http://mpetrelis.blogspot.com/2010/11/s ... ayman.html

Looks like Poverty to me! Who knew being an activist that combat the poverty of minorities was so lucrative?

Could you imagine GeorgiaCarry.Org doing this?!?!?!?

These is the same group that is profiting off of telling DHS, FBI, ATF, and every alphabet soup agency that the racist conservative citizens are the dangerous ones and the ones who should be targeted by police. Remember, law enforcement agents need to be ready for violent murdering psychopaths with "conservative bumper stickers on their cars."

‘The Social Contract’ exposes Southern Poverty Law Center

“Profiteers of Hate,†the cover of the Spring 2010 issue of The Social Contract accuses. “The smear-mongering agenda of the Southern Poverty Law Center…â€

Indeed. TSC provides a linked index for every article in this issue, covering everything from SPLC’s “ritual defamations,†to their “hidden agenda,†all bearing in mind how immensely lucrative the venture has proven to be for founder Morris Dees and key executive staff.

We’ve covered the defamation/conflation angle from a gun owner perspective many times at Gun Rights Examiner. TSC expands that to show how other groups that the SPLC agenda finds convenient are also smeared in order to advance their agenda and bring in the cash.

Now, That's the sort of poverty stricken lifestyle to which I could become accustomed.

Bob Barr on them last year
In recent years, however, the focus of the SPLC has blurred considerably, and the targets of its ire have become decidedly less tangible. The Southern Poverty Law Center seems to be grasping for continued relevance in an age clearly less hostile to racial minorities than two generations ago.
Often citing unnamed sources to support its conclusions, the “militia report†chronicles a rise in “militia activity†based on such scholarly sources as YouTube sightings and other Internet activities.

What, you expected less from these elitest? Heck, I am shocked there isn't a private plane parked out front, or a yacht in the back.
