What's funny is there is a restaurant on River Street in Savannah that has one of those "no concealable weapons allowed" signs posted on their front door or window and I went in with my family, open carrying and no one said anything to me the entire time we enjoyed our meal. I guess technically, I was in compliance with their restriction. :)

Note carefully line B(2). The specific dimensions are such that a gunbuster sign printed on a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper is automatically invalid.

The slash also runs counter to the standard directions according to B(4).

These are not accidental requirements.

Please do not inform any establishment that has invalid signs of that fact.

Just remember that the signs have to adhere to the code section to be legal.
Since I will be on vacation, I'm not going to be carrying around a ruler/tape measure but I do get your point.

I've skimmed through the links above in this post and haven't found any language relating to hotel / condo rooms. Are there any provisions that anyone is aware of stating that a condo rental is treated like a residence? To be perfectly clear ... I'm staying at myrtle beach for a week soon and am wondering if I'm breaking the law by having a handgun in the condo?

From what I remember from the SC CHP class, a hotel room is considered a residence, I believe they specifically mentioned about it being legal to carry the loaded gun from the car, through the parking lot, to the room, but I can't cite the specific law.

Of course now, if you have a GWCL, you don't have to worry about such things; you would only have to worry about the numerous and weird off-limit locations for permit holders.

I should add that I stayed in Myrtle Beach for a week a few years before we got reciprocity, and I took my gun from the closed compartment of my car, put it in my pocket, and walked into the condo. I kept it loaded while in the room. I did this all based on my understanding of the law at the time as it pertained to a person without a permit.

My recollection is the same as yours.
