    Hey all.

Ok, as someof you may know, Im new to georgia and new to guns, although having moved here I find myself in possesion of 4 handguns and one lovely shotgun
I just read a thread on taking guns to the airport, I just gotta know.
Im sure you have to have a CCW (the only liscence a non LEO can get in GA if Im not mistaken)
I would assume you would need a liscence to carry in the state you are flying to (or reciprocity)
And you can just check in a handgun (properly encased) and get it back in the terminal at you destination??

By the way, I sure do appreciate this site, and oll you good folks on it!

You only need a GFL (Georgia Firearms License) if you plan to carry it.

    Correct.

Yep, as long as you follow the procedures you'll be fine. And, so long as your destination isn't D.C. ;)

And I see you are in Metter. I live in Statesboro when I am at school.
