Just in case anybody was wondering if WWII -era ammo is still good to shoot, still reliable, my experience is YES.
In the late 1990s I shot more than 100 rounds of .30-06 M1 Garand ammo, all dated from the mid-1940s, along with other ammo from the 1950s. I also shot at least 50 rounds of steel-cased .45acp. All American-made during WWII.
All was reliable.
