Aren't the prices of reloading components ridiculously high these days?
I used to reload rifle and pistol calibers when I could reload them for $.20 a round, but now you're gonna pay $.20 just for the gunpowder charge that goes into the case!
You'll pay another $.10 for the bullet and about $.13 for the primer. Right?
That's 43 since per round, and you supplying the brass cases for free, assuming you have a bucket full of them around or a friend will give you some!

If I can Buy brass-cased reloadable .223 ammo with real copper jacketed lead core bullets that have no steel in the projectile at all, that's a pretty good deal.

Back in 2017 or 2018 I was shopping for .223 ammo and I think $.45 per round for brass cased ammo was the best I could find back then. I opted to go cheap with Wolf ammo that I could get for $.23 per each round.

I suppose we can forget about Wolf or Tula ammo in the future because it comes from Russia, and we had sanctions against Russia over their election interference even before they decided to invade their neighboring countries of Europe and try to rebuild the Soviet Union's empire.

Some of us are sitting on a decent supply that was bought long before covid or Biden came along. So my answer is the same as the others who handload. Most become interested in reloading when it’s makes no sense to get into it.

The .38 Spl that loaded we last weekend cost me about $0.13 each using my own brass.

The last batch of .223 ran approx $0.36 each

9mm runs me about $0.21 each.

It’s even cheaper when we dip into Match 10’s component stash.

I ended up buying Winchester 55 grain FMJ at Lucky Gunner for about 54 cents per round.

I never bought from them but this seems to be a good deal for ammo. The 69 grain sierras I loaded were the most accurate of all I’ve tried. Not sure if these are sierras but reviews indicate they are accurate and they are .55/round.
