Everyone, please stop trademarking contractions. You don't own them, okay?
In the old forum, there was a way to see "Today's Posts". Is that still possible?
The "Forum" menu at the top has a sub-menu that has Watched Threads, Recent Posts and New Posts. Watched Threads works much like the old User CP page and list unread posts in threads you subscribe to. Recent Posts lists, well, recent posts and puts a dot by the thread with unread posts. New posts seems to list just unread new posts, along with the dot, subscribed or not.
At least, that's how I see them currently. I'm sure it's more complicated than my in a nutshell summary.
I find the subtle color variations between normal thread text, quotes, links, signatures, etc. to be way too difficult to distinguish. It all blends together for these old eyes. I'd like to try a different color scheme to see if it helps.
Where did you find it. I'm still looking.
Top of the page, mouse hover over "Search" and one of the check boxes on the pop up menu is "search this thread only"
I don't have a "Search" at the top of the page. I have to hover over "Home" or over the 3 bar menu item to get a Search link which takes me to the Search function (not search this thread).
This is what the top of the board looks like to me while in this thread:
Your page doesn't look like this?
You should ask for a refund. [/sarc]
zoom out on your screen. When you zoom in, it compresses the menus.
Great, now I got to take up all the screen just to read the forums.
On a side note, any way to get rid of the Latest Replies box on the right so that the stuff I'm trying to read stretches across the entire browser instead of being condensed on the left side?
I have two monitors, so that helps. You could* just hotkey to full screen (or zoom-) just when you need the search and stuff.
*Yeah, I know that's a PITA, just throwing out an option.
Haven't used it too much, but I really like how PM's (Conversations) work. It's much more like full thread functionality instead of the almost thread like stuff from the old software.
Some of this stuff is pretty messed up. Is this happening now, or just from the conversion?
Not to complain, but for those of us that use to order White Out by the case, this edit issue keeps popping up, or should I say popping up behind.

I have to say this change is so far being less disruptive than the last software change. It’s also noticeably more snappy.
I haven’t done any real searches yet. I’m hopeful the search feature is better.
But yeah, the hieroglyphics is a problem. It was solved before though.
That may be a conversion issue. I had some quotes that were messed up, but when I posted the same exact cut and paste from the source it was fine.
Still can't search for FBI or any other three characters.
I do like when you select text to quote you get the option of quote+|Reply. If you have selected text in your reply box and select more text and click Reply, it will add it to the reply box as if you did quote+ a couple times.
New stuff here sucks big time
It may have been a database conversion issue (e.g. nvarchar being converted to varchar). That may be the reason it isn't happening with new posts.
