So, as not to hijack another thread I thought I would start this one. Feel free to hijack this one if you want. :shattered:

    Time: 10 till 6
Place: Red Hill GA (In between Carnesville and Toccoa) Just north of Commerce

    http://www.silencertalk.com/2006sh1.jpg

Admission fee is around $15 but I am not 100% on that.

You have to be a member of Silencertests.com to get all of the details, which I'm not, they will not let me register for some reason.

    Isn't it slower and quieter?

  7. Correct me if i'm wrong but .45 is better for supression then 9mm. Its subsonic by default.

o_O 45 has an extra 50% in bore diameter (I think it's 59%, but I'm too lazy to do the math now). You can't suppress .45 as well as 9 for any reasonable given length.

EDIT: I meant in bore area. Bore diameter is much easier to calculate.

Budder got it right. The larger the bore diameter the harder it is to suppress. A lot of .45 suppressors are not even hearing safe if you run them dry vs a 9mm shooting subsonics which is very quite dry and holywood quiet wet.

Nobody said that, only that 9mm is better for suppression. :?

Heck even an artillery piece can be suppressed.

:p You can suppress 50 BMG, too, but it's still pretty loud.

I'm pretty sure it's just a device for testing ammo.

I believe it actually is a silencer, mainly for training in Germany.

    Here's a different one.
