I'm fairly sure that I'm legal doing this, but wanted a second opinion. The person that I'm selling my Glock to just moved here. He sill has a FL DL and FL CCW permit. He told me that he can show me his car insurance policy showing a GA address and the contract for the house here that he in closing on Friday. He has not gotten a GA DL yet, he didn't want to get one with a temp address then have to change it a few weeks later. Shouldn't his insurance policy and house contract be enough to prove residency to cover my butt?

Is it actually defined, as law, anywhere that an ftf seller must verify anything about the purchaser? As long as the seller asks if the buyer is a resident of the state & if there is any reason that the buyer could not leagally purchase a firearm then that should basically cover the seller, right?

Yet another of those "gray" areas of the firearms law?

That's what i'm thinking. He says he a GA resident now, offered some proof of it. He has a FL CCW, so I don't think I need to worry about if he can legally own it.
