Was it an intentional omission?

Does it matter? Either way he's filthy stinking liar, or the most incompetent fool ever to walk on two legs. Certainly not a person that needs to be shaping public policy.

I'm going to believe so until I know otherwise.

Would this be a case for the opposite of the Freudian slip? Instead saying something other than what he should have, he just didn't say it at all.

He so believes that it is not an individual right "of the people" that his brain won't allow him to say it.
How can anyone Not understand that the Second Ammendment is there to ensure that the Army (ok, and the rest of the junior services, too) can carry guns. If it wasn't for that ammendment they'd have to go to war with cardboard signs.

If they were to abolish the 2nd, then there would be no way to defend this country, our military would be disarmed if that right wasn't granted by the Constitution.

(No brownie points for pointing out all the idiocy in that statement, :) )
