    Sounds like Savannah is just lobbying for the Georgia General Assembly to pass new gun control at the statewide level. And they're going to urge Congress to do the same thing nationally.
    Such a lobbying effort does not violate the state's preemption law.

    Yea, they say resolution several times in the article. Holds a tad more weight than a UN resolution.

    Please explain exactly how that's going to work. Almost all of the prior mass shootings in this country were done by people who acquired their guns legally and weren't on anyone's radar or just ignored for mental instabilities.

    Doing nothing is a perfectly reasonable action to take when the result of "doing something" results in only law abiding people being denied more of their so-called Constitutional liberties while the bad people just laugh and thumb their noses at you.
