The officer, who was responding to an alarm at the school, parked in the church lot next door, and as he got out, he noticed a silver vehicle parked along the wood line, Roswell police Lt. James McGee said.
"As he approached the vehicle to investigate, the vehicle started toward the officer," McGee said. "The officer pulled his weapon and discharged several rounds."
McGee said that the car then struck the officer, and the officer slid across the hood of the car.
The driver of the fleeing car was treated at the hospital for a minor graze wound to her head, then booked into the jail along with the two male suspects arrested in the woods.
