I find the truncated cone style of bullets to move rather violently when chambering. They seem to jump and have a less smooth transition than their counterparts. That being said usually feeding issues in 1911's are magazine related. Personally I would try some other brands of JHP ammo before declaring a problem.

ETA: A break in period is also a good idea as others have stated.
