    Greetings,

I am looking at beginning to reload my ammos. especially my .45 ACP.

For those of you who reload, what and where exactly do you buy and what is the price? I took a look at a few places and it is almost the same price than what I would pay at wally... I am sure I must have something wrong:

    For qty 1000
    - CCI primers 25$
    - Winchester bulk bullets 110$
powder 8 pounds 169$ ( I have no idea how much ammo you do with 8 pounds...hehehehe)

That makes 304$ for 1000 rounds + the press I would have to buy + my time.

At wally, 100 .45ACP winchester is about 30$.

    Thank you

That is why I don't reload! Wally world's prices are so cheap that it just isn't worth it.

Please don't take this wrong, but your math is flawd.
    1. you left out brass case's
    2. you get more than 1k rounds out of a pound of powder
    3. you left out the cost your reloading dies and press
    4. Even if you didnt reload, if you shoot a lot then reloading is much cheaper than any ammo you could buy on the open market.

I been reloading my 45acp for several years now and I can reload my 45's for between $6.50 & $8.00 per 100.

    :2cents:

    tj2000,

I am looking to buy the Dillon 550B and the dices for 9mm and .45ACP.

Frankly, I am trying to figure out the reload process. A lot of general info on the web, but not much specifics.

    A few questions:

Where do you buy your stuff to reload?
How often can you reuse brass usually?
What exactly do you use as primer and bullet? I saw a lot of different bullets. I just want to make holes in paper with my reloads. ;-)

    Thank you
