I had written earlier about a 10 month wait I was enduring for my GFL here in Chatham Co. There were many helpful comments and I was contacted by Georgia carry for legal help. Due to family illness and work I could not get back around to persuing the matter but today called the probate clerk, told her my name and that I was going to persue legal avenues with Georgia Carry. I also let her know that this was in no way a threat but an option of last resort...I will have my GFL monday.
Thanks so much to all.

I think bringing up georgia carry, legal action and how I felt this was my only option, and the fact that, after 10 months, I spoke to the administrative clerk as opposed to a receptionist all had to do with the response. I was careful not to threaten. My advice is to talk to someone who makes decisions and not someone who is just trying to get off the phone. Just calling and threatening law suit may backfire depending on the circumstances. I feel if I had spoken to the admin. clerk this could have been resolved months ago.

jamgar, I am sorry you had to wait almost a year for your license, but congratulations on receiving it (finally).

Please note that pending HB 850 will force probate courts to issue a temporary license on day 45.

Thanks for your help
I would like to donate to Georgia carry (I am already a member). There sould be an easy way on the website to send funds. A tip jar for instance.

Actually, donations are always welcome, and it can be done by check to the GCO P.O. Box, online by Paypal, or by e-check.

One of my friends got his in about 3 months here in Chatham county.

This possible long wait scares the crap out of me. I want my license by day 91 (at the latest - preferably 60 days)! :p
 I want my GFL at 45 days at the latest. It really should all be complete within an hour, or at most a day, if it's busy.
