A conspiracy site is asking if a $20M receipt is valid? The 2020 elections office budget was only $5.5M.

I also don’t know how they arrived at $20M based on the evidence presented and I read it 3 times to make sure.

This is a small (feeble?) town news article.

I'll make a wager that I know who can explain it ...the same person who got Dominion to state that it is impossible to hack their machines.

When I see something like that, my first reaction is that someones' sales figures are being boosted for the month to hit target.

Diebold — an Ohio-based company that manufactures and sells ATMs, bank security systems and electronic voting machines — agreed to pay a $25 million penalty to settle the SEC's charges. Diebold's former CEO Walden O'Dell agreed to reimburse cash bonuses, stock, and stock options under the "clawback" provision of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Premier Election Solutions
, formerly Diebold Election Systems, Inc. (DESI),[1] was a subsidiary of Diebold that made and sold voting machines.

In 2009, it was sold to competitor ES&S. In 2010, Dominion Voting Systems purchased the primary assets of Premier, including all intellectual property, software, firmware and hardware for Premier's current and legacy optical scan, central scan, and touch screen voting systems, and all versions of the GEMS election management system from ES&S.

Diebold: the controversial manufacturer of voting and ATM machines, whose name conjures up the demons of Ohio’s 2004 presidential election irregularities, is now finally under indictment for a “worldwide pattern of criminal conduct.”
Diebold Indicted: Its spectre still haunts Ohio elections
We found that the machine is vulnerable to a number of extremely serious attacks that undermine the accuracy and credibility of the vote counts it produces.
Previous security studies of DREs affirm this skepticism (e.g., [7, 18, 22, 30, 39]). Kohno, Stubblefield, Rubin, and Wallach studied a leaked version of the source code for parts of the Diebold AccuVote-TS software and found many design errors and vulnerabilities [22].
The main findings of our study are:

  1. Malicious software running on a single voting machine can steal votes with little risk of detection. The malicious software can modify all of the records, audit logs, and counters kept by the voting machine, so that even careful forensic examination of these records will find nothing amiss. We have constructed demonstration software that carries out this vote-stealing attack.
  2. Anyone who has physical access to a voting machine, or to a memory card that will later be inserted into a machine, can install said malicious software using a simple method that takes as little as one minute. In practice, poll workers and others often have unsupervised access to the machines.
  3. AccuVote-TS machines are susceptible to voting-machine viruses—computer viruses that can spread malicious software automatically and invisibly from machine to machine during normal pre- and post-election activity. We have constructed a demonstration virus that spreads in this way, installing our demonstration vote-stealing program on every machine it infects. Our demonstration virus spreads via the memory cards that poll workers use to transfer ballots and election results, so it propagates even if the machines are not networked.
  4. While some of these problems can be eliminated by improving Diebold's software, others cannot be remedied without replacing the machines' hardware. Changes to election procedures would also be required to ensure security.

So, Dominion, having the sole ownership of Diebold's voting equipment, made a legal statement claiming their machines cannot be tampered with.

Um, yeah ...sorry guys, I don't believe them.

And you do realize that filing the motion to dismiss puts off discovery, right? This means she is not eager to engage in discovery in addition to trying to avoid the lawsuit entirely by claiming that her statements were not statements of fact.
Dominion filed its response.

Just to be clear for anybody not paying attention, Sidney Powell is NOT eager to get to litigation or discovery. She filed a motion to dismiss which asks the court to throw out the case that she invited to be filed. Also, in federal court a motion to dismiss delays discovery.

Just so that is clear.

Dominion's response brief is asking the court not to dismiss.

That is where things are.

The Michigan Attorney General has also asked a judge in another case to sanction Sidney Powell based on her own statements in the motion to dismiss.

Dominion's entire brief is in the link.

Dominion's legal filing comes just days after one of its executives reached a settlement with Newsmax, a right-wing media organization that alleged the company's head of security had rigged the election himself. On its cable television network, Newsmax informed its viewers that it in fact had "no evidence" to support the allegation.

"She either has a video of Dominion's founder admitting that he can change a million votes or she does not (she does not)," the company's lawyers state. "Dominion was either created in Venezuela to rig elections or it was not (it was not). Dominion either rigged the 2020 election by weighting, flipping, switching, and trashing votes or it did not (it did not). Dominion either bribed officials or it did not (it did not)."

In an email to Forbes, Powell called the Michigan filing “‘Horsefeathers’ and yet another political publicity stunt—not to mention a waste of taxpayer resources.”
CHIEF CRITIC
Powell has criticized media accounts of her motion to dismiss as misleading and said she still believes in the election fraud claims, despite the court filing suggesting they are not meant to be interpreted as true. “Oh no, I am not backtracking a bit,” Powell said on the Dinesh D’Souza Podcast Saturday when asked about the court filing. “I firmly believe everything I said was true.”

. . .

Michigan officials are seeking to have her disbarred in addition to their requests for sanctions. Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has also asked a federal court to have Powell and her co-counsel and client sanctioned and forced to pay more than $100,000 in legal fees for her lawsuit against the state, and an ethics complaint has been filed against her and other lawyers in Arizona.

I'm thinking her and that other lawyer dude from Georgia did not help but harmed the legitimacy of the vote fraud allegations. Something lacking in those two.

Lin Wood?

If you are interested, this article has some very good observations from various points of view, including the section titled "Scarlett Letter," the thesis of which is that even the accusation by the state bar has harmed Lin Wood, no matter what the outcome.

Lin Wood?
Yes.
Not sure I go along with the mental issue part but, maybe a little or way to zealous.
“under plenty of perjury” I bet he'd like to have that one back.

To be clear, Sidney Powell did not claim Dominion was created in Venezuela to flip votes, she claimed the same software used in Dominion voting machines was used in Venezuela to flip votes.

She also claimed it was software called Hammer and Scorecard. Dominion is also the owner of the corrupted Diebold voting machines and their software. The same Diebold voting machines that were used to ....flip votes. Diebold Indicted: Its spectre still haunts Ohio elections

You have to be a bit more intelligent than the commie socialists if you are ever wanting to see your country come back.

I've been paying attention. A law firm in Michigan has already proven Dominion software is able to switch votes. Sidney Powell is not a liar, the people who stole the election are the liars and the traitors.
